WHAT IS COMEDY HACK DAY DC?
CHDDC is a live event series that invites comedians, developers, and designers to come together, drink free booze, and build hilarious tech. The very best creations are showcased before a panel of celebrity judges at a one-of-a-kind live comedy show. One team wins, but nobody loses.
HOW THE EVENT WORKS
1. IDEAS & DRINKS
Every CHDDC begins with ideas. And booze. Participants pitch a whole bunch of stuff like this, teams form around the best ones, and everybody sets to work on building their apps.
2. BUILD & PREPARE
At least 24 hours is dedicated to building products, refining demos, and working up a solid musk inside a workspace. The whole objective is to quickly prototype a functioning piece of tech, and hash out a hilarious demo that showcases what it does.
3. THE COMEDY SHOW
CHDDC is not just a hackathon. Cuz no hackathon ends like this. Tickets are sold, an audience assembles, and the best teams take to the stage to demo before celebrity judges. A winner is crowned. Everybody feels happy.
